Edith J. Uberti, 89, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Force, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at the Pinecrest Manor after an illness of the past year.
She was born Nov. 16, 1923 in Force, daughter of the late John C. and Stella LaPorta Uberti.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Weedville schools. She was a retired employee of North American Phillips in Emporium and retired after over 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Force.
She is survived by two brothers, Emilio (Mert) Uberti and his wife Joan of St. Marys, and Joseph Uberti and his wife Caroline of Force; a brother-in-law, Eugene Heser of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Heser, Pearl Gardner and in infancy Ida Uberti, and four brothers, Bruno, Angelo, Ambrose and John Uberti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Joseph's Church in Force on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Tyler, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
