Eileen E. LaFarr DiNardo

Eileen E. LaFarr DiNardo, 84, of 5538 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Rd., Johnsonburg, died Saturday evening, Feb. 5, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 17, 1926 in Wilcox, daughter of the late Clarence and Olga Nord Johnson Sr.
She married Samuel S. LaFarr on Feb. 20, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1989. She later married Dominic Anthony "Tony" DiNardo on July 28, 1989 and he survives.
Formerly of Wilcox, she resided in Johnsonburg since 1947. She attended Wilcox schools and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Cursillo Movement and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She loved painting with oils and pastels, gardening, cooking and especially loved her children and grandchildren. She had volunteered at "The Thrift Shop" in Johnsonburg.
In addition to her second husband, she is survived by a daughter, Marie LaFarr Robinson and her husband Joseph of Peachbottom; a stepdaughter, Maria Elliott of Johnsonburg; two grandchildren, Matthew Robinson of Lancaster and Renee M. Robinson and her fiance, Ian Johnson, of Cedar Hill, N.J.; a step-grandson, Aaron Elliott and his wife, Carrie Ward Elliott of Scio, N.Y.; two step-great-granddaughters, Kaylee Mae and Kylee Jean Elliott; a brother, Clarence Johnson of Ontario, Calif.; and two sisters, Doris Johnson of Jamestown, N.Y. and Virginia L. Johnson of Chandler, Ariz.
Besides her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Tucci.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen E. LaFarr DiNardo will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor.
Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
If desired, memorial contributions should be made to Holy Rosary Church or to the Johnsonburg Library.
