Eileen M. Lucanik

Eileen M. Lucanik, 85, formerly of 138 Parade Street, St. Marys, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Broomall Presbyterian Village, a nursing care facility just outside of Philadelphia.
She was born December 23, 1927, in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Fritz Lodes.
She married Peter Lucanki, who preceded her in death in 1997.
She had lived in St. Marys most of her life and relocated to Philadelphia to be near her daughter. She was a retired employee of St. Marys Carbon Company where she worked for over 25 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Sharon Lucanik and her husband Dr. Robert Wenger of Philadelphia; a grandson, Isaac Wenger of Philadelphia; a sister, Genevieve Curci; and three brothers, Edward, Paul, and Kenneth Lodes, all of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Martin and Kathleen Brennan; and a brother, James Lodes.
A memorial service for Eileen Lucanik will be held in the chapel at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, July 25 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Thomas More, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
