Eleanor A. Galsick

Eleanor A. Galsick, 92, of 4117 Rasselas Rd., Wilcox, died Monday afternoon, August 1, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a brief illness.
She was born on December 10, 1918 in Rasselas, daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude Markert Brechtel.
She married Frank P. Galsick on September 21, 1940 in Holy Cross Church in Rasselas. He died June 20, 1988.
She resided in Rasselas all of her life and attended Rasselas schools and Wilcox High School.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Coward of Rasselas; a son, David F. Galsick and his wife Peg of Wilcox; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, James Galsick, and by several brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor A. Galsick will be conducted at Holy Cross Church in Rasselas on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be private in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
