Elizabeth Lee "Betty" Barry

Elizabeth Lee "Betty" Barry, 95, formerly of Ridgway, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 in Farmville, Va. 
She was born in Parsons, W.V., the daughter of the late Carl and Sara Duncan Jarvis. She married the late Charles Raymond Barry. Betty loved animals, especially cats, working in her garden and working outside. She enjoyed a simple life. Betty thrived on always giving her time to others and never asked anything in return. 
She is survived by one son, Robert C. Barry (Lucy) of West Chester, Pa.; two daughters, Patricia Hasselman (Roger) of Ridgway and Priscilla Shinabeck (the late Edward) of Farmville, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Tim, Jane, Sara, Michael, Molly, Wendy, Kimberly, John, Robert, Stephen and Elizabeth; and 19 great-grandchildren. 
A Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Lee "Betty" Barry will be celebrated at St. Leo's Church, Ridgway, on Monday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Brian Vossler officiating.
Friends will be received at Thompson Funeral Home, Ridgway, on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.
