Elk County Women's Social looks to 'Spruce Up for Spring'

April 11, 2012

Last year attendees at the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce's Women's Recognition Program had the opportunity to complete a make-and-take project of flowers. This year the dinner's focus is on decorating, painting and interior design. The newly named Elk County Womens Social is taking place Wednesday, April 25 at Gunners. File photo by Amy Cherry.

The Elk County Women's Social, sponsored by the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce, is looking to 'Spruce Up for Spring' for its 24th annual dinner, which includes tips by local experts on interior design, painting, decorating and much more.
"We changed the name to our event in order to incorporate all women of Elk County, from all walks of life," said Ashley O'Dell, the Chamber's outreach coordinator. "Whether you spend your day behind a desk, in front of a machine or home with the kids, we know women work hard and this is an event to celebrate all of your achievements and accomplishments."
Formerly known as the Women's Recognition Dinner, the event is being held Wednesday, April 25 in Gunner's wine cellar. Cocktails will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m.
Those interested in attending the event are encouraged to RSVP by April 20. Tickets are available at the Chamber office and anyone who needs more information may contact the office at 781-3804.
