Emergency personnel called out to two fires in St. Marys

ST. MARYS - The Crystal Department reported being called out at approximately 11:36 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 for a camper on fire on the corner of Parade and N. St. Marys streets. Upon arrival, the camper was fully involved. Department personnel extinguished the fire.
The camper was reported to be a total loss. There was also some damage to the exterior of the house and also to a vehicle that was parked next to the camper, as well as some smoke damage inside the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the CFD, St. Marys City Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. The St. Marys Area Ambulance Service also assisted at the scene.
The CDF also reports being called out at approximately 5:26 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 for a shed fire on the corner of Berwind and Patterson streets. Upon arrival, the department found the shed fully involved. The fire was extinguished. The shed and contents were destroyed. The cause of this fire is also under investigation by the CFD, SMPD, and the PSP Fire Marshal. The St. Marys Area Ambulance Service also assisted at the scene.
