Emilia Celin Zuzek

Emilia Celin Zuzek, 97, of 214 N. 11th St., Olean, N.Y., passed away to her eternal journey on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Absolut Care, Allegany.
She was born Aug. 19, 1915 in IL. Bistrica, Austria, today Slovenia, to the late Joseph and Catherine Rolick Celin. On May 30, 1959 at St. John’s Church in Olean, she married Andrew J. Zuzek who predeceased her on Dec. 25, 1986.
Mrs. Zuzek resided in Slovenia, Italy, and Olean, was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and retired from the former Acme Electric Co in Allegany. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins in the States, Canada, Slovenia, Italy, France and Australia.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by five brothers, Francis, Joseph, Emil, Zvonko and Rodolfo.
Family and friends of Emilia Celin Zuzek are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Fr. David Toureville, parochial vicar, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery in Kane. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church, 202 S. Union St., Olean, NY 14760.
There will be no prior visitation.
