This year's Elk County Job Fair will provide the area's job seekers an opportunity to meet with an array of employers representing the transportation, telecommunications, manufacturing, health care and service industries.
Connie Garrigan, business service representative with PA Careerlink Elk County, said that 15 employers are expected to attend this year's event and that those in attendance will be looking to fill a wide variety of positions in their respective fields, including those of truck driver, general laborer, die setter, emergency relief worker, registered nurse and certified nurse aide, telephone systems administrator, service delivery coordinator, housekeeping aide and technician, just to name a few.
"All of these employers have open positions, so they are definitely hiring," Garrigan said.
Garrigan said that at the event, which is open to the public, prospective employees will have an opportunity to meet with employers, submit resumes, and participate in on-site interviews. Because of this, Garrigan said applicants should come dressed in interview attire and bring copies of their updated resumes with them.
