Enes Marie Facchine

Enes Marie Facchine, 81, a native of Bennetts Valley, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at 8:30 p.m. at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. 
She was born on Aug. 10, 1930 in Caledonia, daughter of the late Leonard and Angela delPiva Facchine.
She was a graduate of Jay Township High School, Class of 1949, and also received a degree in Business Administration from the DuBois Business College. She was employed as school secretary at the Bennetts Valley School for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Force and a member of the church choir.
Other activities included membership in the Senior Citizens Organization; membership in the Bennetts Valley Alumni Association, and membership in the Labor Day Celebration Committee. She served as secretary of each of the above organizations at times during those memberships.
She was one of the early recipients of the Outstanding Alumnus award given by the Bennetts Valley Alumni Association for her efforts in establishing and updating the mailing lists of all graduates of the Bennetts Valley School.
She is survived by one sister, Mae (Edward) Merley of Ellicott City, Md.; two brothers, Leo of Woodbury, N.J., and Evo (Ann) of DuBois; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Baruffalo and Anna Davis; and by seven brothers, John, Alphonse, Anthony, Felix, Guido, Ernest and Sylvio.
A Funeral Mass for Enes Marie Facchine will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Force, with the Reverend Father Thomas Tyler officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Force.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield on Tuesday, Dec. 27 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, Force, PA; or to Christ the King Manor, DuBois, PA.
