Eraldo "Hoss" Scacchitti

Eraldo "Hoss" Scacchitti, 56, of 649 Downing Ct., Erie, and formerly of St. Marys, died unexpectedly Monday, March 17, 2014 at the UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie.
He was born June 28, 1957 in St. Marys, son of Gustavo (Gino) and Menina (Minnie) DeLuca Scacchitti.
He was a graduate of Elk County Catholic High School, Class of 1975, a graduate of Gannon University in 1979, and received his master's degree from Gannon University in 1982. He was employed by Gannon University. He was a proud member of the TKE fraternity and enjoyed crossword puzzles and texting.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sandy Scacchitti of Harrisburg, and by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from the U.S., Canada, Australia and Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Eraldo "Hoss" Scacchitti in the Queen of the World Church in St. Marys on Saturday, March 22 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Allen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Marys Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center St., St. Marys on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
