ST. MARYS – Elk Regional's acute care service for non-urgent health care needs, called "Q Care," has been restructured with new hours, a new location, and lower costs to better serve area residents.
Q Care was implemented last year as a walk-in acute care service to serve patients with non-emergency medical conditions, including earaches; sprains or strains; minor cuts, burns, bumps, or bruises; sore throats; flu-like symptoms; minor aches and pains; and coughs, colds, and sinus problems. Gregory P. Bauer, president and CEO of Elk Regional Health System, said the changes to Q Care were made as a result of feedback from patients.
