Evelyn L. Chaumpi

Evelyn L. Chaumpi, 71, of 579 Maurus St., St. Marys, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 17, 1939 in Elizabeth, N.J., daughter of the late Charles Lovey and Evelyn Schumer Lovey Perrotty, who survives, of Linden, N.J.
She had resided in St. Marys since 1974 and had lived in North Carolina for a few years. She was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth, N.J. and was the retired secretary for the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Muroski and her fiance Pat Foster of St. Marys, and Diana (Rick) Burns of St. Marys; six grandchildren, Amanda Swanson, Emily Swanson, Sonya (Graham) Kopp, Tyler (Erica) Swanson, Kayla Burns and Zachary Burns; three great-grandchildren, Torie Swackhammer, Alex Fries and Austin Swanson; and two sisters, Irene (Jerry) Duggan of Stillwater and Barbara (Stan) Majewski of Rahway, N.J.
A memorial service for Evelyn L. Chaumpi will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, can be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857.
