KANE – Kane natives and longtime friends Sam Cummings Jr. and Tom Jones are embarking on a joint business venture-- the first of its kind in the area.
CJ Spirits, which bears the initials of its partners, is state licensed as the first "craft distillery" in Northwest Pennsylvania.
Using shiny new distillery equipment, CJ Spirits plans to soon produce its first batch of vodka for its opening set for Wednesday, April 9.
As just the 11th "craft distillery" licensed under a new state law, CJ Spirits will be both producing and selling products at its 2,500-square-foot complex on Willow Run.
The site is adjacent to Zook Motors on Route 6 in Wetmore Township west of Kane.
