'Flocking' raising money for American Cancer Society

A campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society has recently been launched in the St. Marys area. A group of flamingos may show up in your yard unexpectedly. They will be accompanied by signs providing you with the details on how to get rid of these pesky pink Phoenicopteridae (family name meaning "Phoenix's Wing") off your property.
If you get "flocked," you may call the number provided on the signs to arrange to make a monetary donation to the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life team "Ray of Hope." Your donation will rid you of the birds and they are shooed away until they find a new yard to call home. Donations are voluntary.
