Floyd R. Beck

Floyd R. Beck, 67, of 276 West Creek Road, St. Marys, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 1, 1943, in DuBois, son of the late James R. and Hilda Carlson Beck.
On April 27, 1968, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Susan M. Gerg, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2010.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Jay Twp. High School in Weedville in 1962. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Corp. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church, the Crystal Fire Department Fire Police, and the Radio Club, and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Sharrow and her husband, Joseph, of St. Marys; three sons, William E. Beck and his wife, Kimberly Cherry, of St. Marys, Floyd E. Beck and his wife, Brenda, of St. Marys, and Anthony J. Beck and his fiancee, Crystal, of Lake Wylie, SC; nine grandchildren, Dustan Werneth and his wife, Brenda, Ryan Sharrow, Matthew Sharrow, Hannah Sharrow, Crystal Beck, Tiffany Beck, Billy Beck, Tonya Gustafson and Amanda Cavalline; three great-grandchildren, Eric Gustafson, Evan Gustafson, and Alexa Uhl; a sister, Agnes Beck of Weedville; a brother, Roger Beck and his wife, Marsha, of Weedville; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Gerg, Mary Gerg and Alice Krieg and her husband, Richard, all of St. Marys.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother at birth.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd R. Beck will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, Center Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
