No comments were received about the budget, which has been available for public review since November.
Under new business, the supervisors approved a resolution delegating authority for the collection of the Occupational Privilege Tax. This tax rate is $10 for area residents, with $5 going to the St. Marys Area School District and the remaining $5 staying in the township.
Several years ago, Fox Township chose to keep the Occupational Privilege Tax, rather than implement the Local Services Tax which several surrounding municipalities have chosen. The cost for the Local Services Tax is $52.
In conjunction, the board approved an agreement with Centax to collect the Occupational Privilege Tax. St. Marys Tax Service is currently collecting this tax.
