Santa and Mrs. Claus kicked off Light Up Night in Kersey on Friday evening as they arrived in style at the Fox Township Community Park inside a colorful pick-up truck painted in the holiday colors of white with red and green stripes. The truck was situated on a trailer pulled by Dick Cooney’s Peterbilt logging truck. The Grinch kept an eye on the festivities as he was perched on the back of the trailer. Youngsters had the opportunity to visit with the Clauses, as Santa’s elves distributed bags filled with candy, a coloring book and other goodies. Cookies and hot chocolate were also provided at the holiday event.
