Frances M. Nashadka

Frances M. Nashadka, 82, of 101 North Mill St., Ridgway died unexpectedly Saturday evening, Dec. 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 13, 1928 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Stanley and Waltrude (Kazmierski) Simchick. She married Felix Fashadka Jr. on May 14, 1949, and he preceded her in death.
She had resided in Ridgway for the last 24 years and was a former Johnsonburg and Wilcox resident. She was a graduate of the Johnsonburg High School and had attended the Duff Iron City Business School. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgway.
She is survived by the following children: Michael Nashadka of Weedville, Beverly Willison and her husband Barry of Brockport, Felix Nashadka III and his wife Janet of Brockport, and Jerome Nashadka and his wife Kathy of St. Marys; seven grandchildren: Mike, Jennifer, Matt, Toby, Jason, Trisha and Brandon; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Simchick of Johnsonburg, Connie Kennedy of Johnsonburg and Rose Terry of Wilcox; three brothers, Richard Simchick of Georgia, Stanley Simchick of North Carolina and John Simchick of Brockway; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie W. Johnson; a grandson, Felix Nashadka IV; and seven sisters, Elizabeth Simchick, Jean Simchick, Eileen Chilcott, Louise Goodreau, Beatrice Simchick, Regina Simchick, and Susan Simchick.
A Memorial Service for Frances M. Nashadka will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Wednesday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Erik Hart, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway Senior Citizens Center at 10 Vine Ave., Ridgway, PA 15853.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
