Francis M. Johnson

Francis M. Johnson, 67, of 641 South Settlement Rd., Kane, died Saturday morning, Jan. 18, 2014 at her residence following a long illness.
Born Aug. 30, 1946 in St. Marys, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Anna Mae Hasselman Pelgrin. On Jan. 1, 1976 in Kane, she married Gary D. Johnson, who survives.
Francis was a teller at First National Bank in St. Marys for several years, then in a supervisory position at First National Bank in Erie. Later, she worked at Stackpole in Kane, from which she retired in 1985.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her mother of St. Marys, three stepdaughters, three sisters, Nancy Breindel of The Villages, Fla., Gloria Glott of Monroeville and Bonnie Paglia of Imperial; a brother, Jack Pelgrin of Kersey; and several grandchildren.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by an infant son.
A funeral service for Francis M. Johnson will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane with the rev. William LaVelle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery, Kanesholm.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
