Freda M. Fox

Freda M. Fox, 85, formerly of 434 Pattison St., St. Marys, died Friday, April 20, 2012 in the Mountain Laurel Nursing Home, Clearfield.
Born Oct. 2, 1926 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lena Woefel Silvis and was raised by the late Michael and Mary Heigel. 
On March 28, 1946, in Brockway, she married James L. Fox, who preceded her in death on June 27, 2002.
She attended St. Marys High School and had been employed at Sylvania and later at Keystone and Hour Glass Cleaners.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and St. Anne Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Rose (the late John) Rigard of Brockway and Frances (James) DeWald of St. Marys; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Silvis of Sanford, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. 
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Silvis, Arthur Silvis, and James Silvis; and two sisters, Rose Taylor and Alice Benjamin.
Friends may attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Freda M. Fox on Saturday, April 28 at 12 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, pastor, as celebrant. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1128 State St., STE 301, Erie, PA 16501.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St Marys.
