Freda M. Michuck, 100, of Horseshoe Drive, Penfield, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at DRMC West after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 3, 1911 in Tyler, daughter of the late David and Agnes (Gustafson) Walker.
She married John Michuck, who preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1980.
Born and raised in Tyler, she was a Penfield resident since 1941. She was a housewife and attended Penfield United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering her time, along with the Penfield Fireman's Auxiliary and many other local volunteer activities throughout the years.
She is survived by three children, John Jr. “Jack” (Evon) Michuck of Penfield, Ronald (Vicki) Michuck of Brockway, and Carol (Jack) Lines of Penfield; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Amoriello; and three brothers, Thomas, Harold and Herbert Walker.
Funeral services for Freda M. Michuck will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield, with Pastor Debra Rogosky officiating.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Visitation will be held at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Penfield United Methodist Church, Bennetts Valley Ambulance or DuBois Regional Medical Center.
