RIDGWAY – The Elk County Prison again received full compliance recognition following a mid-May inspection by the state Department of Corrections.
Warden Greg Gebauer, also a member of St. Marys City Council, reported the good news Tuesday morning during a county board of commissioners meeting.
"We've received complete compliance on seven consecutive occasions," he said as the perfect rating dates back to 2002. "In the past we were rated at 100 percent compliance but they've since stopped that rating process, now it's basically just full compliance.
