Gail L. Cool

Gail L. Cool, 64, of 524 Schissle St., St. Marys, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at her residence after an illness of the past several months.
She was born Oct. 10, 1946, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Elmer and Edna Wickett Wendel. On Sept. 26, 1964, in the St. Mary's Church, she married James E. Cool, who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She had lived in Grand Forks, N.D. for several years and was a graduate of Aaukers Business College in Grand Forks. She was a former employee of Elite Metals and Carbon City Products.
Mrs. Cool loved all animals, especially her dog Ozzie and her three cats, Sophie, Lily and Tabby. She liked spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jodi Swasta and her husband Andrew of St. Marys; two sons, Dennis P. Cool of Boston, Mass., and Troy A. Cool of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Kyle J. Cool of Kane and Ashley M. Cool of Carrsville, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Audrianna Lynn Cool and Lydia Mae Cool; a brother, Richard Wendel and his wife Cathy of Pittsburgh; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wendel of St. Marys and Mary Wendel of Johnsonburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, James, and in infancy, Melvin Wendel.
Family and friends of Gail L. Cool are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday at 10 a.m. at Queen of the World Church, with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
