Gary L. Crosby

Gary L. Crosby, 69, of 11453 Rt. 120, Emporium, died at his residence on Monday night, July 16, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 30, 1942 in St. Marys,  a son of Lillian Nordberg Crosby of Emporium and the late Ivan Crosby.
On Dec. 19, 1970 in Emporium, he married Linda Taylor Crosby, who survives.
Mr. Crosby graduated from Cameron County High School, Class of 1961. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He owned and operated Crosby Contracting for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge #368, Emporium; the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221 VFW; and the Sinnemahoning and May Hollow Sportsmen's Clubs. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and hunting and camping in his RV.
In addition to his mother, Lillian, and wife, Linda, he is survived by two daughters, Lori, Mrs. Brian Gillette of Emporium, and Lisa Neely and Bill of Pittsburgh; a son, Dean Crosby and his fiancee Theresa of Emporium;
11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Lynn Crosby of Emporium; two sisters, Diane Kuchenbecker and John of Mentor, Ohio, and Delores, Mrs. William Burlingame of Truman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Ivan Crosby, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Harlow and Allan Crosby.
A funeral service for Gary L. Crosby will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, on Friday July 20, 2012 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joseph Short, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating. A military service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
