George J. Weisner

George J. Weisner, 87, of 11410 Rt. 28, Brockway, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at McKinley Health Care Center in Brookville.
He was born on June 25, 1923 in St. Marys, son of the late John and Marie Weisner.
He married Mabel G. Holt, who preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 2005.
He was a member of St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He was a member of the Brockway Sportsmen's Club and of Parson-Marnatti Post #95 of the American Legion for over 60 years. He was retired, having been employed at Brockway Glass as a Hot End Foreman. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating, hunting, snowmobiling and riding his four-wheeler.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Georgia (Carl) Fremer of Brockway; two sons, Kenneth (Sherry) Weisner of Brockway and Douglas (Rae) Weisner of Brockport; a sister, Betty Mackey of Erie; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Weisner; six brothers, Jerry, Eugene, Ray, Charles, Harold and Sylvester Weisner; and three sisters, Helen Iddings, Martha Copello and Viola Francis.
A Mass of Christian Burial for George J. Weisner will be held Wednesday in St. Tobias Church in Brockway at 9:30 a.m. and will be officiated by Msgr. Charles Kaza.
Full military honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnatti Post #95 of the American Legion at St. Tobias Cemetery following the funeral Mass.
Visitation will take place today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A vigil service will be held this evening at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home..
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #95, St. Tobias Church or Brockway Ambulance.
