Gerald Edward "Red" Bressler

Gerald Edward "Red" Bressler, 65, of Ridgway, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
He was born Aug. 12, 1945, son of the late Charles H. Bressler Sr. and Estella Marie Carr of Johnsonburg.
He had worked for the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for a number of years. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent his free time throughout his life hunting, fishing and trapping in the wilds of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by four children, Linda Haller of Kersey, Christine Knight of Brandy Camp, Frank Bressler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Brent Bressler of St. Marys; by two siblings, Charles H. Bressler Jr. of Ridgway and Marilyn Thompson of Kersey; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond.
A memorial service for Gerald Edward "Red" Bressler will be held Saturday at the Brandy Camp United Methodist Church in Brandy Camp at 2 p.m.
