Grace J. Sestina

Grace J. Sestina, 90, a resident of Silver Creek Terrace, St. Marys, died Saturday evening, Oct. 6, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born June 16, 1922 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael H. and Barbara A. Schreiber Wolf.
Mrs. Sestina was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She was a graduate of St. Marys Public High School, Class of 1940. She lived in Ridgway for 17 years following her marriage to John E. Sestina on Jan. 11, 1946. She moved to Rockville, Md. in 1962. In 1969, she moved to Silver Spring, Md. where she worked at Vitro Automation, which was affiliated with the U.S. Navy Department, until her retirement in 1987.
She returned to St. Marys in June 1987, where she spent the rest of her life.
She is survived by a sister, Irma L. Catalone of St. Marys; three nieces; four nephews; four-great nieces; and one great-nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Hoffman Stebick, who died in 1972.
Family and friends of Grace J. Sestina are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Tues, October 16, 2012 at noon, with the Rev. Daniel Wolfel, OSB, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.
