Grace M. Eddy

Grace M. Eddy, 94, of the Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility, Ridgway, formerly of Bradford, died on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1916 in Bradford, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Rose M. Christiana Pettinato.
On June 13, 1938, she married Frederick E. Eddy, who died on Oct. 7, 2007.
She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, Women of the Moose and the former Women’s Homemakers Club.
She is survived by four sons, Lawrence E. (Carolyn) Eddy of Elm City, N.C., Kenneth W. (Mary Ellen) Eddy of Bradford, Thomas F. Eddy of Penfield, and Richard J. (Paula Fritz-Eddy) Eddy of St. Marys; one brother, Joseph (Jenn) Pettinato of Bradford; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Geraldine Pettinato, Josephine Hollister, Rose Patterson, and Theresa Lathrop-Dean; and one brother, Sylvester Pettinato.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace M. Eddy will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the St. Bernard Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leo Gallina as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Visitation will held on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc., at which time a prayer service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in her memory be made to either the Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility, 675 Montmorenci Rd., Ridgway, PA 15853; St. Bernard Catholic Church, 95 East Corydon St., Bradford; or to the Community Nurses, Inc., 757 Johnsonburg Rd., Suite 200, St. Marys, PA  15857-3497.
