In undertaking a multi-park renovation project, the St. Marys Recreation Board has secured numerous grants from various charitable trust organizations.
"We're really happy to have the three local foundations involved in this project," Tina Gradizzi, St. Marys Community and Economic Development Coordinator said. "They all have been very supportive."
A bulk of the project entails reconstructing Memorial Park and Luhr Park basketball and tennis courts, renovating Luhr Park's restrooms for handicap accessibility as well as adding new fixtures and more and renovating Memorial Park's restrooms near Playland. Drainage and elevation issues on the courts will also be addressed.
