Gregg J. "Shamu" Erich

Gregg J. "Shamu" Erich, 47, of 133 Wehler Rd., St. Marys, died on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a short illness.
He was born June 28, 1964 in St. Marys, a son of John "Jack" Erich of St. Marys and the late Jean M. Vollmer Erich, his beloved mother, who preceded him in death on April 16, 2010.
Gregg was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of ECCHS, Class of 1982. He was employed for several years at Keystone Carbon Company and had owned and operated Erich Excavating for many years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends and family, especially his two nephews.
In addition to his father, John "Jack" Erich, he is survived by three brothers, Glenn Erich and his wife Fran of St. Marys, Brian Erich of St. Marys, and Blaine Erich of Kersey; and two nephews, Jesse and Nick Erich of St. Marys.
