Gregory D. Schneider

Gregory D. Schneider, 51, of 118 Fairview Rd., Kersey, and formerly a Johnstown-area resident, died early Saturday morning, May 21, 2011 at the home of his parents on Fairview Road after a brief illness.
He was born April 26, 1960, in Ridgway, the son of Gerald and Shirley Woelfel Schneider of Kersey.
He had lived in the Johnstown area for 20 years. He was a graduate of Elk County Catholic High School, Class of 1978, and was employed by the Hunt Oil Co. in Johnstown for the past 10 years.
Mr. Schneider was a member of the University Park Church of God in Johnstown and enjoyed sports, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was married to the former Chythia McCleaf Schneider and Sherri Sipes Schneider, who survive.
He is also survived by two daughters, Erica Sankey and her husband John of State College and Devin Folk of Broad Top; three sons, Justin Schneider of Harrisburg, Ryan Schneider of Johnstown and Ethan Schneider of Broad Top; three grandchildren, Aidan Sankey and twins Robyn and Lana Sankey; a sister, Ann Bolden and her husband Tim of St. Marys; and two brothers, David A. Schneider of Kersey and Douglas J. Schneider and his wife Lisa of St. Marys.
Funeral services for Gregory D. Schneider will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home in St. Marys on Tuesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. James Faluszczak and the Rev. Kevin Dickerson officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation is on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
