Helen A. Krug

Helen A. Krug, 86, of 288 Ford Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 9, 1924 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael and Helena Bizjak Ausserer.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys High School.
For 25 years, she worked at Powdered Metal Products, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Queen of the World Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing and being with her family.
On August 11, 1948, in St. Mary's Church, she married Raymond E. Krug, who preceded her in death on July 1, 1974.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Schreiber of St. Marys, Barbara Krug of St. Marys and Carmen Mattiuz and her husband Thomas of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Tracy Kowalski, J. Adam Schreiber, Michele Mattiuz and Danielle Mattiuz; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Ethan Schreiber; and four sisters, twin sister Alice Schloder of St. Marys, Anna Laird of St. Marys, Maria Stubber of Carlisle and Elizabeth (Betty) Fleming of St. Marys.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Ausserer; and two brothers, Leonard and Joseph Ausserer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen A. Krug will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Ferrick officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
