Helen R. Feile

Helen R. Feile, 99, of 453 North Michael Street, St. Marys, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at the Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 15, 1914 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Francis and Theresa Gabler Robinson. On Dec. 31, 1941 in the St. Mary’s Church, she married Evard F. “Ev” Feile, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1988.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She was a former employee of Sylvania.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue Ann Gaherty and her husband Kenneth of Bayfield, Colo., Janice Simons and her husband Dennis of St. Marys, and Joyce Farabaugh and her husband David of St. Marys; a son Ronald E. Feile and his wife Jan of Titusville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kathleen Heggers, Kevin Gaherty, Heather Bankovic, Keith Simons, Kelly Simons, Amanda Feile, and Darren Simons; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Harlan and Arlene Powell, and a brother Harold “Bum” Robinson. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Feile was a member of the St. Mary’s Church. She was born and raised in the family homestead and lived there her entire life. She had volunteered in the Elk County Catholic High School Cafeteria for over 30 years, was a volunteer at the Christian Food Bank, and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Helen R. Feile in the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
