Highland fireman is injured in 14-vehicle accident

Truck traffic backs up for miles on the southbound lane of Route 66 following a multi-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on the ice-slick highway about 16 miles south of Kane. Two-way traffic resumed late in the afternoon.
PIGEON – A Highland Township volunteer firefighter was injured Wednesday morning while responding to a 14-vehicle traffic accident on icy Route 66, six miles south of Russell City.
