Hilda J. Gasbarre

Hilda J. Gasbarre, 81, of 121 Polk Ave., Ridgway, died early Monday morning, June 11, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 24, 1930, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Walter J. and Grace (Meise) Winters. She married Gene L. Gasbarre on Dec. 28, 1950; he survives. She had resided in Ridgway for the last 65 years and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
Hilda enjoyed playing bingo and watching Pittsburgh sports. She had been employed at Quality Components for 30 years.
Surviving besides her husband is one daughter, Debra (Mrs. David) Love of Kersey; three grandsons, Kyle Love of Pittsburgh, Christopher Love of Pittsburgh, and Zachary Love of Kersey; three sisters, Helen Eckert, Sara Pusl, and Rose Wolf, all of Ridgway; one brother, Leo Winters of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Gasbarre; three brothers, Michael, Thomas, and Lester Winters; three sisters, Rachel Brown, Lucille Silcosky, and Betty Winters; and twin sisters at birth.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal for Hilda J. Gasbarre will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Ross Miceli, resident priest at St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center at 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
