Historical Society slowly making progress

April 8, 2014

Photo by Becky Polaski Pictured are military items from the collection of the Historical Society of St. Marys and Benzinger Township.

A row of military uniforms in protective coverings hangs along one side of the room. Stations of the Cross from St. Marys Church are displayed at the top of an adjacent wall. Across the room are clock hands from St. Mary's Church and a set of French curves that belonged to Ignatius Garner. In between are all sorts of items from St. Marys' past that are still being organized and placed into the appropriate areas as the Historical Society of St. Marys and Benzinger Township gets settled into its new home and prepares to reopen to the public.
