Members of the St. Marys Area Servicemen's Burial Detail and area veterans' organizations wait for the caravan escorting the remains of Vietnam veteran Major Thomas Clark to arrive at the Bucktail Plaza in St. Marys Thursday afternoon. The major was being escorted home to Emporium for interment more than 40 years after his plane was shot down by enemy fire over Laos. His remains were recently identified after years of examining the crash site. Following a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life, he will be laid to rest on Saturday, Oct. 22.
