Hospital patient charged with felony assault

A St. Marys man is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly assaulting hospital staff and police officers at Penn Highlands Elk on June 12.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, police arrived at the hospital to find Seth Ivan Rung, 19, of St. Marys, screaming, struggling against restraints and spitting at hospital staff. Reportedly, Rung was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances and attempted to bite one of the police officers as they restrained him.
