Investigation into death of Brookville woman remains open

CLARION COUNTY — Clarion-based Pennsylvania State Police have reported that a 19-year-old woman reported missing over the weekend was found deceased inside her vehicle — which she was last seen driving Friday evening — Tuesday morning at 7 a.m.
PSP report that the victim, Devan C. Knapp of Brookville, was discovered in the vehicle along Summerville Drive in Millcreek Township, Clarion County, by a passerby. Members of PSP-Clarion and PSP-Punxsy reported to the scene. 
The incident remains under open investigation, with an autopsy to be conducted at a date and time yet to be determined.
Police report that upon completion of the autopsy, more information will be released.
Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer assisted at the scene and Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron and Jefferson County District Attorney Jeff Burkett were also on the scene.
Clarion Hospital EMS responded to the scene.
