Irene T. Rieder

Irene T. Rieder, 82, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 209 Madison Street, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 12, 1928 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Arnold and Catherine Krug Wurm.
On June 2, 1951 in the St. Mary's Church, she married Thomas Rieder Sr., who preceded her in death on March 26, 1978.
Mrs. Rieder was a member of the St. Mary's Church. She had worked in the cafeteria at St. Mary's Parochial School in her later years and she greatly enjoyed the students she served over the years. She also enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 
She is survived by five sons, Thomas Rieder Jr. of Rathbun, Timothy Rieder and his wife Karen of St. Marys, Kenneth Rieder and his wife Chrissy of St. Marys, Mark Rieder of Emporium, and Paul Rieder and his wife Stacy of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Romaine and Maynard Beimel; three sisters, Leora Tinghino, Gladys Moyer and Mary Facchine Spowart; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Rieder.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Irene T. Rieder will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday morning from 10-11:30 a.m.
