The Elk County Commissioners voted Tuesday to send a letter of intent to the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission [NCPRPDC] officials expressing their interest in buying the Industrial Technical Education Center [ITEC].
"As commissioners are aware and as the press has reported, the county [officials] has been in discussion with North Central [officials] regarding the purchase of ITEC," said county solicitor Tom Wagner during a short board meeting Tuesday morning. "We've reached a point in our discussions now where we want to move forward.
"[NCPRPDC officials] have asked for a letter of intent from the commissioners basically saying that they intend to purchase their property."
