James D. Lodes

James D. Lodes, 69, of 11 Mertz Avenue, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home.
He was born April 15, 1942 in St. Marys, a son of the late Edward A. and Catherine G. Fritz Lodes.
Mr Lodes was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart and Central Catholic schools. He had worked at Powdered Metal Products and had also worked at Penn Pallet for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was known for his love of dogs.
He is survived by two sons, Andrew Lodes and his wife Teresa of St. Marys, and James Lodes of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Lori Lodes of St. Marys; two sisters, Eileen Lucanik and Genevieve Curci, both of St. Marys; and three brothers, Edward Lodes, Paul Lodes and his wife Shirley, and Kenneth Lodes and his wife Mary Kay, all of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Martin and Kathleen Brennen.
Relatives and friends of James D. Lodes are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 325 Center St., St. Marys, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
