James G. Moorhouse

James G. Moorhouse, 77 of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Nelson’s Golden Years.
He was born on May 21, 1935, son of the late James E. and Carrie M. (Gunsallus) Moorhouse.
On July 8, 1961, he married Irene H. (Kentoski) Moorhouse. She preceded him in death on June 1, 1999.
Mr. Moorhouse was a veteran the United States Army having served as a Military Policeman.
He was the founder and owner of Valley Machine and Tool Company in Penfield, and previous to that, he worked at Stackpole Carbon Company in St. Marys for 24 years. He was also a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid sportsman.
He is survived by a son, David J. Moorhouse and his wife Cheryl of DuBois, and three grandsons, Stephen, Matthew, and James Moorhouse.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph S. Moorhouse and a sister, Arlene Kuniski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for James G. Moorhouse at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A ritual service will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
