James T. "Perch" O'Connell

James T. "Perch" O'Connell, 58, of 225 Fairies St., Wilcox died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2012 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 21, 1953 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Heglen O'Connell.
On Sept. 11, 1976, in the Wilcox Presbyterian Church, he married Debra "Debbie" Stanley, who survives.
He was formerly of Johnsonburg and resided in Wilcox for 35 years. He attended Johnsonburg High School and was a member of the Wilcox Sportsmen's Club, a former member of the Diplomats Drum and Bugle Corps and was an avid Drum Corps fan. He was also a wine maker and enjoyed casino gaming.
He was employed by Domtar Corp. in Johnsonburg for 40 years, also having previously worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. in St. Marys for two years and Sallacks Logging for four years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lori O'Connell and her fiance Clinton Myers of Wilcox; one sister, Cathy, Mrs. John Hudson of Bellfonte; two brothers, Dennis O'Connell and his wife Laurie of State College and Quincy (Richard) O'Connell and his wife Inda of Wilcox; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa O'Connell, and a brother, Patrick (Teaa) O'Connell.
Funeral services for James T. "Perch" O'Connell will be conducted Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Wilcox Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Mark Cantaral officiating.
Interment will follow at Wilcox Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 12, 2012.
