Janice S. Wilson

Janice S. Wilson, 74, of West Center Street, Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.
She was born October 2, 1936 in Ridgway, son of the late Leo “Pat” and Carolyn (Harriger) Divany.
She was a graduate of Johnsonburg Area Schools Class of 1954 and received her Master’s in teaching at Clarion University. She worked for many years as a teacher at Johnsonburg Elementary School and lived most of her life in Johnsonburg. She was a member of Johnsonburg United Methodist Church where she was very active, was a board member of LIFT of St. Marys and was an avid sports fan, especially the Pirates.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Fannin and her partner Lester Johnson of Ridgway; two brothers, Richard Divany of Howard and Robert Divany of Pleasant Gap; a niece, Sharon Divany of State College and a great aunt Jean Kirkpatrick and her daughter Susan Haugan of Maryland.
She was predeceased by her parents and a niece, Patricia Divany.
There will be no visitation.
A Memorial Service for Janice S. Wilson will be held at 2 p.m. on May 21, 2011 at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeffery Little.
Interment will be in the Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Community Nurses, Inc. or a favorite charity.
