"I'm not saying it's the perfect way out, but we are in trouble," said Jay Township Supervisor Fran Gustafson in advocating the possibility of Jay Township connecting to the St. Marys water service at Thursday's meeting of the board.
But despite Gustafson's objections, fellow Supervisors Jeremy Rippey and Murray K. Lilley voted to guarantee $107,000 in loans for the Jay Township Water Authority to be used in upgrading the township's water treatment plant, effectively ending any talk of St. Marys supplying the township with water.
