Jerome J. Erich

Jerome J. Erich, 77, of 200 Elm Rd., St. Marys, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 18, 1935 in St. Marys, a son of the late Jerome W. and Catherine Hasselman Erich. On Aug. 11, 1962 in St. Mary's Church, he married Mary Schade Erich, who survives.
Mr. Erich was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church. He was a veteran of the Navy and retired from Erich Rentals after many years of service.  He enjoyed working in the yard and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Mary Schade Erich, he is survived by four sons, Doug Erich and his wife Meg of, Kansas City, Mo., Kurt Erich and his wife Christine of Phoenix, Ariz., Joel Erich and his wife Cheryl of Pittsburgh, and Martin Erich and his wife Darlene, of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren; a brother, Harold Erich and his wife Betty of Emporium; and a sister, Grace, Mrs. Norb Arnold of St. Marys.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome J. Erich will be celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Rd., St. Marys, on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at noon, with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, as celebrant. Inurnment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch- Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Wednesday evening from 5-7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Benedictine Sisters of Elk County, St. Joseph Monastery, 303 Church St., St. Marys, PA 15857; or to the Elk County Catholic School System, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, PA 15857.
