Joan C. DeVillars

Joan C. DeVillars, 74, of Montgomery and formerly of Sinclairville, N.Y., and Kane, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in the Geisinger Medical Center at Danville.
She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on Thursday, Jan. 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Doris (Billstone) Depledge.
She was the widow of Ralph R. DeVillars, who preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 2010.
She was a 1954 graduate of the Cassadaga Valley Central School and a 1957 graduate of the WCA Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse by four hospitals for over 50 years.
She was of the Baptist faith. She also enjoyed traveling, antiquing and attending auctions.
She is survived by three sons, Robert and Linda Anderson of Orlando, Fla., Douglas and Ann Anderson of Oviedo, Fla., and Daniel and Katie Anderson of Troy, Mich.; a daughter, Diane and John Kliem of Fairfax Station, Va.; four stepdaughters, Darlene and David Burkett of East Norriton, Deborah and Ralph Shay of San Antonio, Texas, Donna Muszynski of Conshohocken, and Deanna DeVillars of Cochranton, PA; six grandchildren, Kevin, Jillian, Eric, Allison, John, and Emily; and one brother, Ken Depledge of Falconer, N.Y.
Funeral services for Joan C. DeVillars will be conducted from the Ellery Baptist Church, 4487 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point, N.Y., at 12 p.m. on Monday with the Reverend Nate Wood officiating.
Interment will be in the Fluvanna Cemetery, Jamestown, N.Y.
Friends may call on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA; or on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ellery Baptist Church.
