Joan Helen Krise

Joan Helen Krise, 69, of 227 Ridge Rd., Kersey, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing Home in Clearfield following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 4, 1942 in Portland Mills, daughter of the late John and Lola Luchs Bugden. On March 23, 1957 in Ridgway, she married Thomas Anthony Krise Sr., who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Ridgway schools. She was a former employee of Wal-Mart and the former Oasis Restaurant in Ridgway. She enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tracy Christine Huff of Johnsonburg; a son, Thomas Anthony Krise Jr. of St. Marys; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Gardner and Kay Butterfuss, both of Ridgway; and a brother, John Luchs of Ridgway.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Carr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Helen Krise will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery in Kersey.
There will be no visitation.
